Pumpkin Spice Donut Holes

Pumpkin Spice Donut Holes

These Pumpkin Spice Donut Holes are the perfect treat to kick off the Fall season!  They’re gluten-free, refined sugar free, and made with real ingredients because we like to feel good and enjoy delicious foods here!   I love that these come together sooo quickly and only need a few minutes to bake.  After they cool down for a bit you’ll roll them in maple sugar and cinnamon, which gives them that nostalgic donut texture and flavor.  They are the prefect bite size pumpkin spice treat to enjoy with your favorite cozy fall beverage. Yum!

Ingredients

3/4 cup Pumpkin puree
1/2 cup almond flour
1 1/4 cup oat flour (sub all purpose gf flour)
2 tsp Pumpkin pie spice
1/3 cup maple sugar
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp Sea salt
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp ghee melted
1/2 cup almond milk
Avocado oil spray

Cinnamon Sugar Topping:
1/4 cup maple sugar
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Method

  • Preheat the oven to 375.

  • Combine wet ingredients in a large bowl- beat egg, pumpkin puree, milk, vanilla, and melted ghee.  Mix well until smooth.

  • Combine dry ingredients in a separate bowl.

  • Add dry ingredients to wet mixture and mix until batter is formed.

  • Spray a mini muffin tin with oil spray (olive oil, coconut oil, avocado oil all work)

  • Using a scooper, scoop batter into dough balls into each hole in the mini muffin tin.

  • Bake 10-12 minutes

  • Let cool for a few minutes.

  • Combine maple sugar and cinnamon for the topping.

  • Roll each ball into the topping to coat (I did this while they were still a bit warm).

  • Eat while fresh and enjoy!

Tip:If you’re prepping these ahead of time, wait until you are going to eat them or serve them to add the cinnamon sugar topping. You can brush them with a little oil or melted ghee so the sugar sticks.

*Best when consumed within 2 days, after that store in the fridge.
