Collard Wrap Turkey Burgers
These collard wrap turkey burger are the perfect healthy summer dinner. They’re Inspired by one of my favorite healthy takeout out spots. Using a collard wrap is a great way to lighten up a meal and add in extra nutrients! These are simple, delicious, and will become your new go-to burger recipe.
Ingredients
Turkey Burgers:
1 lb ground turkey
1 tbsp coconut aminos
1 tbsp dijon mustard
1 egg
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp dill weed
1/2 tsp sea salt
1/4 cup almond flour
1/4 cup fresh chopped parsley
1/2 red onion diced
Tahini Sauce:
3 tbsp tahini
1/2 tbsp lemon
1/2 tbsp dijon
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 tsp dill weed
Splash of water
Collard Greens
Toppings of choice: pickles, tomatoes, onions, etc
Method
Start by adding all of the ingredients for the burgers in a bowl. Mix until well combined.
Form the mixture into 4 patties.
Heat a skillet with avocado oil over medium heat.
Cooking your turkey burgers, about 5 minutes on each side until cooked through
While the burgers are cooking make your tahini sauce by mixing all ingredients in a small bowl
Blanch the collard green leaves and then cut and shave the stem (shave the stem so it’s flat, which will make it easier to roll)
Assemble your burgers; place patty on collard greens, add your sauce and any toppings, then roll up like a wrap.
Serve with sweet potato fries or side of choice.
