Chocolate Covered Matzo Bark

If you’re looking for a new dessert recipe, look no further… this simple chocolate matzoh bark is basically like a giant chocolate covered pretzel!  Plus, it can be made GF, using gluten-free matzo!

Ingredients
1 piece of matzoh 
3 soaked pitted medjool dates 
1 tbsp tahini 
1 tsp coconut oil
1/4 cup melted dark chocolate 
1 tbsp chopped nuts
Sprinkle of sea salt

Method

  • Start by making your date caramel.  Combine 3 soaked dates with tahini coconut oil and a splash of water in a food processor and blend until smoothy and creamy (should be a creamy paste consistency)

  • Spread the date paste on the matzoh. 

  • Melt the dark chocolate and then drizzle over the matzoh.

  • Sprinkle with chopped nuts and sea salt. 

  • Place in the freezer for about 30 mins to an hour or until the chocolate has hardened.

    I chose to top mine with the chopped nuts and sea salt, but you can use whatever toppings you’d like!
