These brownie bites are that perfect little something + an Adaptogenic boost! They are loaded with superfoods like cacao and maca to support your mood, brain health, hormones, and gut health! I’ve been experimenting with maca (an adaptogen) alot lately and I have to say, I’m in love! I really enjoy the flavor, especially combined with cacao!
Adaptogens are plant-derived foods & supplements that help the body become more resilient to stress and can prevent some of the negative side effects & damafe stress can have on our bodies. Maca is an adaptogenic root known to provide support for energy, hormone balance, libido, fertility, mental health, & cognitive function. Food is medicine friends, and there’s so many ways to make healthy food taste good… enter these adaptogenic brownie bites!
Ingredients
1/3 cup cacao powder
3/4 cup almond flour or meal
8 tsp maca
1/4 cup Maple syrup
1/2 cup tahini
2 tbsp coconut oil
3 tbsp cacao nibs or dk choc chips
Method
Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl
Mix wet ingredients together in a separate bowl until smooth. Add to the dry ingredients and mix well.
You should have a cookie dough like consistency.
Scoop and roll into balls.
Makes about 15-18 bites!
Place in a container in the fridge for about an hour to firm.
Ready to snack! Store in the fridge, option to freeze if you won’t eat them all in a few days!
